Turkey, Land of the Mustaches!
A drawing from Turkey! Making a future-portrait of a little girl, of what she will look like when she is grown up (a little).
A mobile phone drawing from my latest trip to Turkey, to central Anatolia, with the little villages in the hills.
I made this drawing last year at this time, for Newfoundland when I went there (8 months pregnant and all..) In person, it is indeed that full of colorful houses, but the water is a little more purply & scary.
On a recent trip to Budapest, I was taken with the arts & crafts styles of Hungarian dresses, pillows, and other felt things. So I drew some Central European inspired donuts.
A phone drawing of a Turkish Teyze (aunt). Drawn over a Nescafe in Eskisehir. Colors!
As requested by a soon-to-be-wed couple, my slight parody of bad engagement photos — but keeping it relatively classy & not too vulgar or cheesy.
An old drawing, from a few years ago, trying to plan out some possible t-shirt designs
A quick self-portrait in as few lines as I could — I even sacrificed my eyebrows for brevity. It’s a nice challenge, I encourage you to do the same!
