As per Jurate’s request, a little monster scene.  I made some protoo-tshirts, and then also adapted it for a new Razblint logo too:D

Three Psycho Velvet Monsters

One will be for Lucy’s niece, the others will go up on Etsy.  The request was for non-threatening monsters, so I made the eyes extra wide and the smiles maximum joy, but they kind of turned out looking like one

The Pink Face – Tongue Out Monster

More simple faces, more tongue!  Though I gave into mouthpiece-ear-limb temptations.  And then there’s the plaid, rescued from a Cape Cod skirt, to go with the pink bathrobe that has gone into the tongue.

The Blank Stare Doll – Blue Face/Pink Tongue

Time for some minimalist dolls.  Two eyes, one tongue, and a blank stare.  No eyebrows, no nostrils, my favorite facial components are benched for this week while I play around with ultrasimple monsters.

The Dolls in Vancouver

During civilian times, they seem to be concentrated around Water Street in Gastown.  There is NOOD (New Objects Of Desire) and Modernkind, plus a whole load of dedicated tourist shops full of mounties, moose, and polar bears. But thanks to

The Red Winter Monster

This is one of my first dolls ever, my first monster.  He’s from Mairead’s clothes, a red hoodie, a green-pink t-shirt, and some green sweater from Uncle Karl.  Very red, very bouncy, a permanent resident of Pittsburgh.

The Skull and Crossbones Little Monsters

I love this little guy — manufactured May-November, Belfast-Pittsburgh, from a skull and crossbones cap in QFT’s lost and found.  He is happy or bemused, and has a little pirate/goth atmosphere to him.  Just look at his back!  His front

Monster Litter from Belfast, Holylands

I sold most of these monsters at the Belfast and Dublin shows back in June, and I never properly documented them before they left me.  A lot of them were pocket sized, made out of QFT Lost & Found hats

The Big Pink Furry Monster

And he’s in his natural habitat: THE PHD BEDROOM! I made him in Belfast, and endowed him to Julia, who endowed him to Mairead.  I think he is my favorite monster ever!  He was born (like so many other monsters)
