Tonight is UNWRAPPED, the annual holiday party at the Union Project in Highland Park. I may be committed to studying for the final final of the year, but Lucy is taking my place and will be accompanying the dolls, the bags, the grandma-approved underwear as they are up for sale in the East End of Pittsburgh. The party goes from 7-11 tonight (EST, in case you’re traveling in) — and part of the proceeds go to the Union Project’s fund. The monsters are ready!!!

Dorkette Doll, Long Legs + Green Hair

One of my first dolls – long legs, a puff of green hair, and a felted pink-orange wool dress(that was my first knit/felted cap) — sold to Jenna, who works at the Union Project. Here is her picture at the event, there are more photos from the Union Project here!

Dolls Return to the Union Project!

For this past Saturday’s Union Project fundraiser event Unwrapped, the dolls + monsters were invited to participate. I didn’t go, I don’t know who bought what, but a bunch of them have moved onto better places. And the monster mirrors too! So I bid them adieu — and if you happen to be one of the new owners from Saturday night, send me a message + a photo, I’d like to see them in their new habitat!

Yesterday was a great sale, maybe the best ever, at the Union Project in Highland Park, all day in the first snowy day of Pittsburgh this season. The dolls, monsters, elephants, lp bags, portrait mirrors, and even a Sarah Palin voodoo doll are released into the wild. So long!

The Motown Superhero Doll

I made Motown dolls a few years ago, she is the only one still around. So I put a cape on her, now she’s superheroic. Number 2 on her cape — she’ll be on sale at the next I Made It! Market this weekend at the Union Project. She is a little surly.

Oh Dolls! There was a mass exodus last Saturday afternoon at the Union Project in Highland Park Pittsburgh. They squeezed themselves into a suitcase, lined up on a folding table, and found new homes, one after another. We shall meet again though!
