Mistakes Defenses: The Criminal Law Flowchart, law drawings

This is a dense, colorful, and slightly chaotic flowchart born from the first term of 1L Criminal Law. Originally hand-drawn during class and finished later with digital ink and color, it charts the winding logic of mistake of fact, mistake of law, and various defenses—with plenty of talking heads, side paths, and doctrinal detours along the way.

It’s not the most traditional flowchart—but it worked for me on the final. Whether you’re deep in crim class or revisiting the elements for the bar, this print turns confusion into color and legal theory into something you can actually follow.
